Project: The Planning and Concepts phase previously completed by Johnson Smitthipong & Rosamond Associates for the Winslow Indian Health Care Corporation included locating this new medical office building with the future development of the campus in mind. The new medical office building enhances the patient experience with the use of contemporary openings that welcome the easterly sun into the building’s public spaces. At the same time, it is a cutting edge facility based on a patient centered paradigm which will promote health and wellness and increase access to quality health care. This project required civil engineering services to complete grading, paving, utility extension for sewer /water, and construction administration. AEI created the designs, reviewed requests for information, review contractors request for payment, completed field inspections, created a punch list for final approval, and issued final approval for all site and civil work. Unique to this project was an extension of domestic and fire flow water lines. AEI conducted hydraulic analysis to determine if existing water systems can provide minimum fire flow requirements of the IFC 2006.
